PPFF Announces Inaugural 3v3 Soccer Tournament in Strathmore

STRATHMORE, AB — June 9, 2026 — Building on the massive wave of excitement around the World Cup, PPFF is thrilled to announce the inaugural PPFF 3v3 Soccer Tournament, presented by the Woodcreek Virtual Lions Club. Taking place on August 15th and 16th, 2026, at the Ranch Market Soccer Fields (the proud home of the Strathmore Soccer Association) this family-friendly event aims to make soccer visible and accessible to the entire community.

The tournament features a fast-paced, high-energy 3v3 format (think volta) across eight age and gender categories, ranging from U10-U11 Coed up to Open (16+) divisions. The days will see two playing fields running continuous action, spectator areas, a skills area, and food trucks on-site for lunch. The weekend promises to be an exciting celebration of local sport and community.

“Our goal with this tournament is to break down barriers to the sport, celebrate Canada’s hosting of the World Cup and bring the community together,” said Benjamin Parkins, Youth Programs Director at PPFF. “Following the energy of the World Cup, we want to give local players a unique, fast-paced environment to showcase their skills, while offering families a fun, accessible weekend out.”

In addition to tournament play, visitors and players can access the warm-up and training station equipped with training aids, including hex hurdles, and a volley net and much more. Spectators are warmly welcomed to attend, cheer on the teams, and enjoy the community atmosphere.
